I have had a number of promotions since starting in 2013. I currently direct banquet operations at the Orange County Convention Center/Crown Complex for large ticketed events, corporate meetings, tradeshows, wedding, and banquets and manage a budget of for various shows.Significant Accomplishments:Oversaw facility requirements, equipment, power and electrical setup for high-end events in the United States, such as Centennial Convention, Charles Schwab Impact, Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Dinner, Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute Conference and Gala, Human Rights Campaign Annual Drive AIPAC, Convergence and MGX.Sole Operations Manager who planned a 5-day city-wide Sapphire Asug event, generating an additional $1 million for the organization.Additional Major Responsibilities: Supervise a cross-functional team of 5 managers, 12 captains, 50 fulltime and 500 employees on-call as well as the setup crew consisting of 2 fulltime supervisors and 10 staff members. Work directly with clients to provide consultative support in planning; ensuring seamless execution of the event, resulting in increased client loyalty.Travel to different properties such as the Javits Center, NY and Boston Aquarium to assist in planning events.
