    Working as a researcher on projects funded by the Government of Tamil Nadu since 2016: 1) Tamil Nadu Household Panel Survey (TNHPS)- A longitudinal socio-economic survey covering households at the Pre Baseline phase and households at the Baseline phase. 2016 to 2020 -The Pre Baseline Phase: Worked with the Sampling Statistician on the deduction of sampling methodology behind the rural and urban samples for the listing survey. Developed protocols for field pilots, quality control mechanisms etc. Played an active role in survey training across districts in Tamil Nadu. Involved in the development of the CAPI survey tool on Survey CTO software. Involved in the daily monitoring of data, troubleshooting, consistency checks, progress reports etc. Mentored and managed multiple research investigators and interns. Led data cleaning and analyses on STATA software of over 2 lakh Household and 7 lakh individual entries across demographic, development and socio-economic variables. Collaborated with the Principal Investigators from the MIDS, the Survey Research Centre at the University of Michigan and the Government of Tamil Nadu on estimating survey weights, preparing key documents, writing reports from time to time. The next phase of the panel, the 1st Wave is currently in progress. 2) Tamil Nadu Covid-19 Pulse Survey (TNCPS)- This is a CATI panel survey with the largest sample size conducted in India during the pandemic. TNCPS captured income and occupational shifts in the state from March 2020 to June 2021. Played a key role in devising the sampling methodology for the survey and the implementation of rounds 1, 2, 3 and 4. Co-wrote survey reports with the Principal Investigators (PI) for the Government of Tamil Nadu. As of 2022, I have been engaged in the stratification/sample selection of the ultimate sampling units (households) for the 1st Wave of the TNHPS and in the writing and publication of research articles with the PIs.
