ABOUT ALOK GARG

I am a strategic and analytical IT Systems Professional with in-depth knowledge and practice of all aspects of system engineering, data migration, solution architecture, and virtualization. Additionally, I possess profound expertise in building and managing internal and external collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Quickr, and Confluence Wiki. As a System Engineer for Aon Hewitt, I was responsible for devising strategies that streamlined the data IT infrastructure migration to a brand-new data center, as well as consolidated multiple North American and regional data centers. I collaborated with a global team of 16 experts and together we implemented innovative strategies that ensured a seamless migration with heighten security and disaster recovery plans while guaranteeing optimal functionality post the migration. I pride myself on my ability to consult with stakeholders and clients directly in order to identify their specific business needs and devise tactical solutions that achieve their objectives. I then leverage these findings and configure as well as upgrade various systems to match the client\'s needs while also implementing process improvement initiatives to mitigate the risk of potential technical risks from occurring in the future. Throughout my tenure with Aon Hewitt, I have had the opportunity to exponentially grow in my career. Beginning as a technical lead, I managed simple application servers to now as a Cloud Enterprise System Engineer where I manage an entire data center. It is through this incredible journey, that I mastered the leadership and project management skills deemed necessary to grow further in my career and take the next steps.
