As a biochemist with a doctorate in biochemical toxicology, Gareth Shackleton joined Sterling Pharmaceuticals in 1994. With the company passing through several mergers between 1994 and 2011, Gareth gained progressive promotions to Associate Director, with departmental, strategic and project responsibilities, leading projects and teams around the world.In 2011, Dr Shackleton acquired a franchise territory with ActionCOACH, the world’s premier business coaching firm. Since then, Gareth has worked with many diverse business sectors from manufacturing to retail, healthcare to software development. Along the way, he collected numerous prestigious awards for best client results over three consecutive years.In 2018, Gareth renewed the ActionCOACH territory license to continue working with clients across the North East and Cumbria. To better assist his clients, Gareth worked to gain certifications in psychometric profiling, employee engagement and emotional intelligence coaching. During this time, he renewed his interest in the neurological, physiological and biochemical processes, proven so essential in human performance, particularly as they apply to entrepreneurial activity and employee engagement.In pursuit of excellence and commitment to building more successful organisations, Dr Shackleton continues to research projects influencing the biological foundations of entrepreneurial performance and employee engagement.
