About Gareth Roe

Gareth is a licensed member of the American Planning Association and the American Institute of Certified Planners. He is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, the Downtown Seattle Association, and the International Council of Shopping Centers. In addition, he has served as past Co-Chair for the City of Seattle Parks and Recreation Skateboard Park Advisory Committee.In his role as the Director of Business Development, Gareth oversees the business development and client relations functions of the firm. In addition, he is directly involved with the planning, entitlement and environmental review tasks on complex projects for his clients and the rest of the staff at the firm. Gareth is experienced in the preparation of site development feasibility studies, TOD projects, highest & best use analysis, master planning, land use regulatory code analysis, sub consultant coordination, jurisdictional & agency coordination, permit entitlement coordination, entitlement expediting and permit tracking. Gareth has served as an Expert Witness, lead design charrettes and has also presented many projects to neighborhood stakeholder groups, planning commissions, city council’s and other regulatory agencies.As a connector, Gareth thrives on collaboration and enjoys working in a multidisciplinary setting, with a focus on the entitlement, design and adaptive reuse of urban-core projects, rejuvenation and implementation of urban neighborhood plans, park, recreational and institutional master planning, local and regional compliance with statewide growth management laws. Gareth has an extensive knowledge and understanding of the permitting requirements for the City of Seattle, City of Tacoma, King County, Pierce County and other jurisdictions in the greater Puget Sound region.Gareth has been skateboarding non-stop since 1972!
