ABOUT GARETH REID BENG

I am a Lead Instrument and Control Engineer with over 18 years of experience in a variety of project roles for the Energy industry for both offshore assets and downstream process plants. I have previously held Engineering design roles, Engineering Assurance roles and provided consultancy services. My skillset can provide technical direction and control across all project phases from the early conceptual stages, right through to Start-up and into asset support roles such as troubleshooting, maintenance and optimisation. I have worked on a wide range of projects and scopes with differing capital expenditures. From large billion-dollar Greenfield projects, small to medium multi-million-dollar Brownfield EPC projects and finally onto smaller discipline focused asset optimisations. I’m a highly motivated individual with an ability to combine technical knowledge, personal experience, commercial awareness, cost and technological constraints in parallel to delivering the project requirements, operational expectations and complying with industry standards and best practices. I am a proven team player with a focused can-do outlook who takes ownership and accountability for all my working decisions. I have worked and lived abroad, can easily adapt to change, and can travel globally when opportunities arise- TÜV Functional Safety Engineer (Cert.
