Three editions of the Salisbury International Arts Festival. The 2022 Island theme programme included performances by artists such as Hofesh Shechter and the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, the commissioning of a new violin concerto from Julian Joseph and large scale community events including a city wide Treasure Hunt and an epic choral celebration of the building of Salisbury Cathedral. The 2019 programme, inspired by the 50th anniversary of the Moon Landings and 30th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall included Luke Jerram’s astonishing art installation Gaia, Imber: You Walk Through (an immersive digital experience that brought the abandoned Wiltshire village of Imber back to life) and Earthrise by Alec Roth (a spectacular staging of this epic choral piece in Salisbury Cathedral). The Arts Festival was accompanied by a Festival of Ideas curated by Nobel Laureate, Rebecca Johnson.• International collaborations including the international premiere of Congress with Australian theatre makers All the Queen’s Men, the British premiere of Call Cutta from Rimini Protokoll and a new version of Nightwalks with Teenagers from Canadian company Mamalian Diving Reflex.• Directing credits for Wiltshire Creative include a major site specific professional/community production of The Tempest, the world premiere of One Last Push by Chris Chibnall, the regional premiere of Rebecca Lenkiewicz’s gripping suffragette drama Her Naked Skin, successful revivals of Ayckbourn\'s A Chorus of Disapproval and How the Other Half Loves and three pantomimes Dick Whittington, Cinderella and Robin Hood. Produced work includes the world premiere of Rachel Wagstaff’s new adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Mirror Crack’d directed by Melly Still and the world premiere of Julian Barnes’ The Lemon Table directed by Michael Grandage and starring Ian McDiarmid.
