Managing a team of two to build short- and long-term workforce planning capability as the DHSC moves from leading the nation’s pandemic response to a sustainable long-term organisation. This is a new role and nothing was in place. At pace and during the pandemic, I led the team to bring inconsistent data together on a uniform basis and generate a clear picture of workforce and financial risks to drive the transformation.Having started as a contractor, I am now doing this job as a permanent Civil Servant.This work is providing a firm foundation for workforce planning decisions being made across the organisation, while my team has also overhauled workforce reporting to illustrate people risks.
