Overall leadership and management of UK Finance Operations providing a range of services to all UK operating companies (revenues £1.2bn).• Oversee the UK group general ledger (GL), accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) functions and own the financial governance, management, reporting cycles, audit and statutory reporting for the UK balance sheet (Net Assets c£400m).• Built and designed the organisational structure of the current UK financial operations team from scratch in 2019 after replacing an inherited team of temporary staff with an experienced high performing permanent team. Regular coaching, mentoring, appraisals and performance management when necessary• Management of the offshore outsourced financial operations team in India ensuring delivery against contract, with overall responsibility for c100 employees. In person visits, remote coaching and mentoring • Provide service visibility to the business through structured KPIs, SLA’s, driving end to end process improvement in record to report, purchase to pay and order to cash• Weekly management of UK cash flow projections in conjunction with and aligned to monthly balance sheet/cashflow forecasts. Tracking and control of UK Capital investment • Manage the monthly reporting cycle to leadership for UK Operations. Responsibility for the central costs budget• Integrated three separate significant acquisitions into the UK group, including preparation of board papers, completion accounts and earn out calculations. Achieving cost reduction by centralising the finance function of each acquisition• Oversee and have responsibility for successful delivery of the interim/year end statutory external audits. Management of statutory requirements such as leases/IFRS16 calculations• Set up UK operations internal control processes such as balance sheet reconciliations and other major process improvements leading to three years of clean external audits with no proposed adjustments
