Licensed B1.3 helicopter contracting engineer. 25 years as a licensed engineer. I have worked in all aspects of maintance, from Base to line work. Spent 10 years as a field engineer and I’m used to being at the end of the supply chain. Ran the Qatari Hems engineering for two years. Worked with the UK military pilot training. Also the RAF Search and Rescue school in Wales. Gas & Oil in Abu Dhabi. VVIP and yacht work. My skills range from VIP installations to police/Hems field work. Knowledgeable, hard working, easy going, unflappable reliable engineer. Hold EASA, UAE and Qatari licenses. AW139, Bell412, AW109, EC135, MD902, BO105, AS355 H145 D2/3. All models. I have the Group License for all single turbines.

ABOUT GARETH MAYFIELD
With over Twenty five years civil experience as a licensed helicopter engineer and nine years in the military maintaining helicopters, I bring extensive practical experience in all aspects of helicopter maintenance. This includes Gas & Oil, VVIP, HEMS, SAR, Hanger Installations and Police operations. I am also experienced at working closely, with the client and “away from base” operations. I am presently working as a Gas & oil contractor in the southern North Sea. Before this I was on a VVIP special project. This is ship based in the Middle East. Previously to this, I was with in Abu Dhabi. Both in the oil field and VVIP. This included 3 years in Saudi supporting the 2030 vision. Ranging from VIP tours to Airborne archology. I was at the Royal Air Force, Basic flight school and the Search and Rescue school for 5 years in the UK. Before this I was working in Qatar for Gulf Helicopters as their Engineer in charge, running the country’s HEMS project. Previously, I was responsible for the maintenance of both Greater Manchester Police and West Yorkshire police helicopters. I also set up the Yorkshire and Lincolnshire air ambulance engineering support. I’m an easy going, flexible, loyal and likeable engineer, who has been contracting since 2010. I enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment. I hold a UAE A6 GCAA, Qatari A7, UK CAA Part 66 licenses. Types ratings held, Full group 2b. Single turbine AS 355 series EC135 Series AW109, Series MD902 series Bolkow 105. H145 D2/3 Bell 412 series AW139 Goodridge Rescue hoists Willing to travel worldwide, do shift/rotation work.
