ABOUT GARETH LLEWELLYN

Gareth is a value creator, able to work across all scopes and scales of enterprise, programme, project and product-centric change. He is a British Computer Society (BCS) Enterprise & Solutions Architect, a certified TOGAF 9.1 Practitioner and a certified AWS Cloud Architect. He has extensive experience of Agile delivery practices, having led teams in XP, Scrum and SAFe engineer and architect roles over many years. He also has extensive experience of designing Azure Cloud native solutions and implementing hybrid and multi-cloud integrated ecosystems. Gareth spent 14 years as an engineer, moving to Software and System Architecture using agile values, practices, and collaborations to deliver a system\'s active, evolutionary design and architecture. He uses fast learning cycles to explore alternatives and arrive at an optimal solution, laying out the shared vision in a Design Runway and creating an environment for decentralized decision-making through informing and collaborating rather than permission seeking. Gareth seeks to balance intentional vs. emergent design, avoiding Big Design Up Front and taking a systems view across entire value streams as prioritised by business in an agreed value delivery roadmap. Gareth has also spent 18 years architecting solutions and strategic enterprise transformations for medium to large commercial organisations, and to federal, state and local government across the UK and Australia. Gareth has extensive UK Public Sector experience and maintains a Security Clearance until 2033. When tackling scale and complexity, Gareth seeks to curate an ecosystem of creative allies, aligned and motivated for a continuous value delivery mission. He fosters a culture of service to each other and to our business, having the bravery to tackle the hard things first and the resilience to stay the course of the change. At its heart lies his ability to create value, driving sound business outcomes, ensuring fit-for-purpose data and technology solutions while managing risk and investment.
