I’m the General Counsel and Group Company Secretary at Uber Boat by Thames Clippers, where I was asked to found and build the legal, non-marine compliance and governance functions across the business following its acquisition by our current Sponsor in 2022, and where I am responsible for managing all legal, governance and non-marine compliance matters and our external legal advisory relationships. UBTC provides commuters and leisure travellers with a comfortable, family-friendly and productive way to travel around London, whilst experiencing the highest standards of customer service. Our fleet of over 20 comfortable, high-speed catamarans serve 24 piers, from Putney in the West to Gravesend in the East, all offering guaranteed seating, open back decks with bike storage and the vast majority having licensed café bars on board, offering our customers unparalleled views of central London. I have two decades of legal experience and I’m fortunate to have worked for some great businesses, and partnered with and managed excellent teams, and have gained significant experience in corporate, M&A, debt and equity finance and commercial and data protection work, and have a wider background supporting tax, people, reward, digital (including e-commerce) and property functions.
