Objectives:• Accountable for the ‘One Bank Data Strategy’ architecture which aims to deliver customer facing benefits quickly and safely, whilst offering our customers the help and support required to meet their financial goals.• Collaborate and influence various senior Bank stakeholders (Home Buying Ownership, Short Term Borrowing, Retail and Commercial DigiTech, financial and credit Risk, Core Payments etc.) to reuse capabilities safely and securely (Spend Categorisation, Spend Analysis and Spend Insights, Operational Data Store, Event broker etc.) to drive efficiencies through collaboration.• Communicate deep technical concepts and designs to all levels (technical and non-technical). Focusing on keeping our customers and staff secure whilst being agile.Deliverables• Defined an architecture that provides the business with a single view of its customers and their relationships. Implementing a consolidated operational data architecture which utilises real time event-driven patterns and request-driven patterns (API) to keep an eventually consistent data model. Re-used authentication and authorisation patterns to keep staff and customers data secure.• Designed the continuous integration of multiple Bank assets (spend categorisation, analysis, insight engines. Operational Data Store and Event broker etc.) for operational use. Making sure security and access controls met regulatory standards.• Developed the Facebook Loans blueprint which was the Bank’s first use case that opened internal processes to third party platforms (Facebook). Working closely with various Bank stakeholders to agree the programme scope and roadmap to meet business ambitions.• Consult on Data & Analytics Architecture strategy to deliver Data Science environments. To enable data scientists a secure and safe research platform with the appropriate data access controls to enable them to meet business demand.
