   A family-owned company, providing tile, stone, setting materials and tools to contractors and builders in the United States for over 70 years. America\'s preferred ceramic tile and stone source with 45 locations in ten states. I was brought in to work with the owners to establish the CFO function. The first significant challenge was to select and hire auditors (acceptable to the lead bank) to perform the company\'s first audit. A significant amount of documentation had to be prepared for the auditors to understand and test systems and procedures. Except for their inability to audit opening balances, the audit had a clean opinion. In early 2016, a Portland-based company with five locations was acquired to add a Northwest footprint. The banks and auditors accepted my quality of earnings work, in lieu of hiring an outside firm. Have worked in concert with the CIO to add infrastructure: better reporting, a new warehouse management system (Manhattan) and currently implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365. Manhattan, replaced a manual, spreadsheet-based system, added state-of-the art visibility, a as well as necessary control to a significant inventory with thousands of skus. Dynamics replaced a 20-year-old, proprietary system. It\'s selection took six months and and we implemented the system in mid-2020.
