Joining DB E&C is a great opportunity for me to leverage my consulting & technical background, working with many talented people across the globe.Undertake Design & Technical specification review of Electrical & Mechanial Services, Escalators, Moving walkway & Elevators and Building Automation Systems for underground stations & tunnel sections against the Employers Requirements, Codes & Standards at various stages of development from concept through detailed design stages & as-builts to meet the project objectives- Respond to Request for Information (RFI) on MEP design- Recommend to implement the Request for Change (RFC) by assessing the technical, commercial and time impact- Review the coordination of MEP services with Architecture, Civil/Structures, Rail Systems & 3rd Party services, external stake holders- Drive & facilitate the design integration workshops to ensure high quality (Right at First time) and timely design submissions- Provide input & guidance as required relating to the design of MEP systems & selection of MEP equipment to meet the expected levels of technical excellence- Provide technical support as required to the MEP Construction team during design & construction phase- Undertake Factory Acceptance Test for all Major MEP Equipment- MEP construction works along with testing and commissioning of MEP equipment related to a Metro / Rail environment- Familiar with the appropriate local, European and American codes & standards BS, EN, NFPA, IEC, ANSI, IS, ISO etc, and their application in the Rail Transportation & Building Services environment-“Working knowledge” of rail systems such as AC traction power, signaling, communication, tunnel ventilation and interface with MEP Systems.Propose MEP cost optimization alternatives with minimum impact. Assist in awarding of design services, contracts and work packages procurement within the scope of MEP Systems. Develop, define and implement procurement strategies for the E&M system.
