I have 30 years of experience in large-scale distributed software development. I have worked in start-ups (InterTrust, Abeona), mid-sized companies (EMC/Documentum and MarkLogic), and large corporations such as Tableau/Salesforce, Oracle, and IBM.One of my strengths is developing product strategies and driving them into products by motivating engineers to deliver quality software in a highly dynamic and challenging environment. I am a hands-on engineering leader who enjoys \"rolling up the sleeves\" when needed.I currently work at Veeva Systems as the Director of Engineering, where I lead the Data Sciences and Analytics platform solutions. Before Veeva, I was an employee of Tableau, where I led the Developer Productivity team first and then the Data Governance and Edge Services teams.Previously, I worked at MarkLogic Corporation as VP of Product Development, managing a team of 60 development, QA, and documentation engineers. My team is responsible for building the next-generation database, frameworks, and applications to integrate data from silos.Before MarkLogic, I worked as a Senior Development Manager in the Enterprise Content Management group at IBM. I was also a technical member of the strategy team that drove IBM\'s “Social Business” agenda into ECM via integrating social and analytics tools. At IBM, I was selected to participate in the Corporate Services Corps program, a unique program aimed at corporate social responsibility and available only to the consistently few top performers.I also advise Xtelligent, a company dedicated to enabling optimal traffic flow systems and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.

Currently, I manage the following engineering teams- Nitro - Supports the analytical and data science platform to integrate commercial data sources with Veeva CRMCRM Data Engine - a data integration platform built on Druid that serves data to products like MyInsights Studio.Currently rearchitecting the platform using open technologies to address scalability and performance needs, while enabling customers to access data via an open, analytics-friendly data format.I managed the re-write of MyInsights Studio, a UI platform for building custom content web pages, by migrating it from Vue.js to React.js and modernizing the overall user experience.
