About Grant Andersen
I am a Data Scientist working on a wide variety of use cases covering traditional machine learning applications on tabular data to deep learning applications in the computer vision and NLP spaces. I graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville with a dual Master of Business Administration and Master of Science in Business Analytics. I also attended UTK for my undergraduate studies where I majored in English Literature, minored in Business Administration, and graduated with multiple honors. Over the course of my studies and work experience I found that I have a talent and passion for quantitative and qualitative analytics, and can communicate my thoughts and findings effectively. For example, in my graduate studies, I created an optimization model for a large movie chain that resulted in a 10% average increase of daily film showings. In my undergraduate studies, I wrote an award-winning thesis synthesizing a broad range of research to introduce a new avenue of criticism into Nella Larsen\'s novella,\"Passing.\" I constantly desire to continue learning and growing my skills to build the best future I can for myself and others.
