ABOUT GALE OCONNELL

I have established myself as a Scientific Leader, with expertise within R&D trends, strategy and markets for much of my career, gradually being promoted through a number of related positions. I make use of my research and data analysis skills on a daily basis and a particular strength of mine, I feel, is in overseeing complex projects utilising change, technical, risk and resource management expertise. I also have extensive experience as a health authority liaison and have coordinated with various international health authorities to successfully ensure compliance across all functions. Fundamentally, however, I am an effective communicator, with the ability to both liaise across the organisation. My experience has afforded me with valuable opportunities to build and maintain key at all levels of business, including Board/CEO, and I consider this ability to communicate effectively to be integral to all that I do. I also believe that the success of any business is basically reliant on the people who are involved with it and my ability to deliver key advice and solutions comes with helping others achieve excellence themselves. As such, I consistently define technical requirements to meet commercial needs; making recommendations, identifying risks and ensuring delivery. I have a `can do` attitude, within a dynamic,`hands-on` ethos and I strongly believe in leading by example. An additional important aspect of management for me is developing people, and as such, I am confident in my interpersonal skills and emphasise the importance of teamwork. It is really important to me that I enjoy my work and can see the positive difference I make.
