Working alongside our Head of Trade Marks, day to day I am involved with- discussing trade mark issues with clients, giving initial advice as to likely registerability and costs- advising on trade mark filing strategy- drafting trade mark filing proposals with the aim of claiming the broadest protection for the client- providing regular updates throughout the application process- offering advice on trade mark infringement and enforcement issues- drafting cease and desist letters / LBA\'s- reviewing and collating of evidence for opposition matters- preparing notices of opposition, statement of grounds and counterstatements- assisting with IP audits- trade mark searching and due diligence- liaising with foreign associates on international filings- advising clients of US maintenance requirements- attending to recordal of assignments and changes of name/address
