About Gail Evans

I was introduced to the fundraising profession in 1986 while working for the Healtheast Trust Fund in Allentown, which later became the development operation for Lehigh Valley Hospital. In 1998, I was recruited for the Director of Development position at Crozer Keystone Health System in Delaware County where I successfully managed two separate capital campaigns totaling $13M over my seven-year tenure. I also raised $10M toward a $25M capital campaign for La Salle College High School, while serving as their Vice President for Institutional Advancement from 20••••07. I was recruited to St. Luke’s in January of 2008. In addition to various network responsibilities, I am overseeing a capital campaign, with a $32M goal, for Bethlehem and the new Riverside campus. I received my undergraduate degree, as well as my MBA, from DeSales University (as an non-traditional adult student) and have been certified as a CFRE (Certified Fund-Raising Executive) since 1994. One of my profesional goals is to continue to build meaningful relationships with community members interested in St. Luke\'s so that I can help them explore their philanthropic interests and goals. Another is to begin to explore the possibility of becoming an adjunct teacher, particularly for non-traditional students, at one of our area colleges or universities because I feel so strongly about adult education and because, as a non-traditional student myself, I feel I have a wealth of experience to share and can relate to what they are going through to accomplish their educational goals.
