Gail Spilsbury founded Bergamot Books in 2003, with design help from Yael Kats, to develop, edit, and print art historical books. In 2011, Bergamot expanded to handle print-on-demand and e-books, in addition to offering full editorial services to authors and publishers.Spilsbury has edited books for the Smithsonian Institution, the National Gallery of Art, National Geographic, Rizzoli Publications, the Whitney Museum, and the Peabody Essex Museum. She has helped numerous authors develop their books for publication. She is the author of Tiger of the Caesars; Sid’s Book about Me; That Year in Boston; Quartetto Sabino (in Italian); A Washington Sketchbook; and Rock Creek Park (book jackets below). Her fiction podcast set in Boston, Red Line, is available on iTunes or redlinepodcast.com. She writes film reviews for the Boston City Paper, which are archived here: gailspilsbury.blogspot.com.

ABOUT GAIL SPILSBURY
G.D. Spilsbury is a writer of books and screenplays. In addition to her latest novel, NATALIE & ANTONELLA IN ROME, Gail\'s books include THERE ARE PLACES (2023), QUARTETTO SABINO (2019), THAT YEAR IN BOSTON (2020), A WASHINGTON SKETCHBOOK (2011), and ROCK CREEK PARK (2002). She\'s also written children\'s books set in Rome, TIGER OF THE CAESARS and SID\'S BOOK ABOUT ME. Gail\'s contemporary fiction podcast, RED LINE, is available on iTunes. From 2010 to 2020, she contributed film reviews to the San Francisco Film Festival and the Boston City Paper. She was a career editor for the Smithsonian Institution, the National Gallery of Art, and National Geographic, and taught in the Writing, Literature, and Publishing department at Emerson College. When Gail is not writing, she\'s editing books for authors and cultural institutions at her press, Bergamot Books, based in Boston.
