Almost 30 years experience across primary & secondary care, education, academia, research, medical leadership and health policy. An experienced medical leader, keynote speaker, executive team and board member. Currently working as the Chief Medical Advisor for the Department for Work and Pensions and as an Honorary Associate Professor of Primary Care at the University of Nottingham.Initially training as a surgeon, with experience in radiology I have worked across charity, hospice, NHS and private sectors to improve the lives of those with disabilities and health conditions. I continue to practice as an NHS GP with fellowship of the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP) am a senior fellow of the Faculty of Leadership and Management (FMLM) and an associate fellow of the Higher Education Authority (HEA).
