ABOUT GAIA COZZANI

I manage the national and international logistics of Cruise Ships (Spare Parts Dept.), coordinate with the support of our international agents the shipping dept. to provide the clients with the best available solution according to their needs. Additional competences- Knowledge of import-export formalities - Ability to manage simultaneously a number of projects and initiatives Extensive knowledge of the freight and transport industries I handle very often stressful situations that require immediate assistance and solutions to fulfil clients’ requests. DRY DOCKING EXPERTISE: During the dry docks’ times (when the ships are stopped at the pier and going under restyling) I coordinate and handle the spare parts ‘orders as well as the shipments, to meet the requests of the Ships’ Technical Teams for the project to be complete within the requested terms of our clients. I am in charge of planning and coordinate, based upon urgency (and in consideration of the costs) the most appropriate shipment (air freight or sea freight) I work in close contact with the client’s representative to grant the best customer service. Analyzing any service failures or issues that can rise from different situations, I set up new systems to enhance future service delivery. Additional duties- To Develop standard procedures for clients (notifying shipping information)- To Prepare import-export documentation for clients/customers - To Negotiate the services of 3rd party carriers, couriers, haulage companies
