About Gagana Jadhav
I design and research how people build trust in AI-powered tools.At Clarivate, my work centers on designing user flows and conversation patterns for LLM-powered AI agents built for academic researchers. I’ve led UX research to understand how scholars interact with these tools, how they search, what they trust, how they verify information, and what shapes their willingness to adopt AI in their research process.I’m most energized by questions like:What makes AI feel trustworthy? How can enterprise systems think transparently?My focus is on making these tools feel transparent and credible in navigating complex academic information systems.My work spans end-to-end design and mixed-method research, including interviews, usability studies, surveys, and heuristic evaluations, integrated directly into product strategy.I approach design holistically, considering how decisions impact not only users but also business outcomes and the internal teams who build and maintain the product.Before this, I worked at Sprinklr as a Product Support Engineer, where I solved over 2,500 support cases. I worked closely with users running large-scale marketing campaigns and saw how small usability issues created business risks. That experience shaped how I design today: anticipating friction early, connecting design to business impact, and staying grounded in user reality.I work closely with engineering teams and have a strong grasp of technical constraints—navigating what is feasible, what is not, and where tradeoffs make sense. My goal is to advocate for users in a way that works within the system, balancing impact, effort, and long-term maintainability.I also care deeply about accessibility and inclusive design, particularly for people with sensory processing differences such as ADHD or autism, and for those with vision-related needs such as low vision or blindness.With a background in HCI and Engineering, I approach design as systems problem-solving with an aim to make advanced tools feel understandable and dependable in everyday use.
