ABOUT GAETANO LUGLIO
Prof Gaetano Luglio is a specialist in General Surgery, expert in the field of Mini-Invasive, Laparoscopic, Robotics and Colon-Proctological surgery. Associate Professor of Surgery at the University of Naples Federico II and Medical Director at the AOU Policlinico. In addition to the treatment of pathologies relevant to general and abdominal oncological surgery, he has always had a prominent interest in colorectal surgery, in his various fields, from colorectal tumours, to chronic inflammatory bowel diseases (Crohn\'s disease and Ulcerative Colitis), in addition to proctology (haemorrhoids, fistulas, fissures and rectal prolapses). He has also gained extensive experience in the field of highly complex surgical abdominal diseases, such as intestinal failure (short intestine and complex abdomens) and advanced neoplastic pathologies or recurrences requiring multivisceral resections. Lecturer in General Surgery at the School of Medicine and Surgery, the School of Specialisation in General Surgery and at several degree courses for the health professions. Regional Delegate for Campania of the Italian Society of Colorectal Surgery (SICCR)(20••••24), where he is recognised as a referent for Higher Education and Training for the laparoscopic treatment of Colon-Rectum Diseases, Chronic Inflammatory Bowel Diseases and for Endoanal and Endorectal Ultrasound.
