ABOUT GAETAN MADIES

My mission is to help inspire positive change by contributing to making companies more resilient in an uncertain world, combining passion with positive impact. At BOBST, as Head of Corporate Sustainability ai, I am dedicated to integrating sustainability into our key decisions, coordinating initiatives with the R&D departments across our various product lines, and increasing maturity in sustainability knowledge within the company.Our team’s efforts have led to the implementation of net-zero targets validated by the SBTi and improved sustainability ratings, including achieving EcoVadis Gold. We’ve also received numerous awards for both the innovations in our products (such as One Barrier and patented solutions for new raw materials) and our responsible business practices (like supplier management).My approach emphasizes collaboration, a skill I developed during my previous roles in procurement, by incorporating stakeholder feedback to guide BOBST’s priorities in alignment with their needs. Knowledge is key to success, and my teaching experience in various engineering and business schools helps me identify the most effective tools to engage and make an impact on students, employees, clients, and suppliers. Promoting intrapreneurship within the company by providing clear insights into our vision and sustainability challenges empowers employees to take ownership, show initiative, and remain mindful of their impact in daily work.
