About Gaby Cornejo
Throughout my career in the climate space so far, I have recognized the urgent need to make traditionally uninvestable areas of climate more accessible to investors. I am committed to breaking the \"chicken-and-egg\" barriers that hinder the scaling of climate solutions - whether by developing innovative climate funds, identifying disruptive startups, or enhancing transparency around climate risks and opportunities.At Morgan Stanley, I work on the central sustainability investing team, where I help public and private investment teams adopt a quantitative approach to building sustainable investing strategies. My work addresses both the de-risking and opportunity-focused dimensions of climate investing, spanning topics such as biodiversity, the circular economy, decarbonization, physical and transition risks, and more. Beyond Morgan Stanley, I co-founded the NYC Climate Hackathon series where I’ve helped it scale from a grassroots meetup to a sponsored platform of 16 hackathons and counting, including one officially featured in NYC Climate Week 2024. I also serve as a NYC Ambassador for Net Zero Insights, where I connect key decision makers across the climate tech capital stack.
