Cape Canaveral, FL, US

Serve as primary advisor of NASA’s Launch Services Program (LSP) Management and US Government spacecraft customers (i.e. NOAA, ESA, JPL, APL, etc.) on Electromagnetic Environment Effects (E3). Closely monitor and support the development lifecycles of NASA uncrewed missions (i.e. Europa/Clipper, PACE, GOES satellites, etc.), by identifying and coordinating customer technical requirement with their selected rocket provider (i.e. SpaceX, ULA, Northrup Grumman, etc.).• Lead the LSP Flight Analysis Division multidisciplinary Discipline Expert team, which is supported by the following disciplines: Flight Software, Flight Design, GN & C, Structural Loads, Dynamics Environments, Strength/Fracture Mechanics, E3, Fluid Dynamics, and Thermal. Responsibilities include optimizing the common computational software usage by identifying common requirements and matching them with engineering tools and solutions that can foster collaboration among multiple teams. • Lead NASA\'s Engineering and Safety Center E3 Community of Practice. Responsibilities include (1) being Champion of the Agency’s E3 Community;(2) act as the Agency’s main E3 point of contact to connect all the Agencies E3 Discipline Experts; and (3) identify technical and software solutions to foster better communication across all 10 NASA Centers.• Earned the NASA 2024 Space Operations Innovation Award for leading the development of a computational software to characterize electromagnetic fields within payload fairings caused by spacecraft and launch vehicle transmitters. This groundbreaking work was accomplished by coordinating and managing the software tool development with multiple NASA Centers and Small Business partners. It will significantly benefit multiple organizations across industry and the government, with near term impacts for NASA\'s LSP and the wider spacecraft community.• Clearly and accurately communicate highly technical material to a variety of different audiences.
