   As a Legislative Aide in the office of Representative Cody Harris, I have provided comprehensive legislative and administrative support to advance the Representative’s policy priorities and serve the constituents of East Texas. My responsibilities encompassed: • Conducting in-depth policy research and tracking legislation across multiple committees, including Natural Resources, licensing & administration procedures, and Calendars. • Drafting bill analyses, talking points, constituent correspondence, and briefing materials to support the Representative’s legislative initiatives. • Managing constituent services by addressing inquiries, coordinating casework, and facilitating communication between constituents and state agencies. • Assisting in the preparation and organization of legislative materials as needed by the Representative. • Collaborating with stakeholders, advocacy groups, and other legislative offices to build support for the Representative’s policy goals. This role has honed my skills in legislative analysis, constituent engagement, and strategic communication within a fast-paced political environment. It has also deepened my understanding of the legislative process and the importance of responsive, community-focused public service.
