Development and execution of Engine Thermal Management control strategies to maintain optimum engine temperatures for fuel economy, performance, and safety for CSS 675T L3B/L4B and Small Block HD V8 L8T/L8S.• Calibration development starting with the beta hardware phase and assist with execution of engine dyno development testing.• Calibration robust diagnostics that meet all regulatory requirements while maximizing performance and customer satisfaction.• Data analysis to ensure robust operation of the thermal system and to support other teams in resolving performance issues using Dashboard.• Support the Engine Thermal Management TRB with updates to DOE procedures and leadership of automated calibration development projects.• Regularly perform Master Cal reviews, peer reviews and Chief Engineer reviews to validate calibration quality and compliance.• Worked with suppliers to improve hardware specifications, reducing warranty and manufacturing costs.• Train new team members on thermal system concepts and group procedures, assist with data review, troubleshooting, and guide them through major milestone activities such as calibration postings, DOEs and Master Cal reviews.
