ABOUT GABRIEL LOYA
I am a third-year law student at the University of Texas School of Law, scheduled to sit for the bar in July 2025, with a strong commitment to civil rights and employment law. I currently serve as a law clerk at Kaplan Law Firm and will transition into a full-time employment attorney role in October 2025, advocating for workers’ rights in Texas, New Mexico, and Illinois. My work focuses on wage theft, discrimination, and other systemic workplace inequities. I also serve as the Managing Editor for the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law & Policy, contributing to scholarship that highlights underrepresented perspectives and fosters social justice. Born and raised in El Paso and a proud UTEP graduate, I plan to return to my hometown to expand access to justice for underserved communities throughout the region. Feel free to connect if you’d like to discuss civil rights, employment law, my legal career, or legal advocacy.
