About Gabrielle Vázquez
I am an advocate and a neutral that leverages skills, training, and experience to obtain the best possible outcomes for clients involved in complex commercial disputes. I also serve as outside general counsel for a number of clients in a variety of industries.As an advocate, I engage in strategic analysis of a dispute in order to identify clients\' interests and develop a comprehensive menu of options for meaningful resolutions that maximize value and minimize exposure. I then execute on clients\' preferred path to achieve best possible results in any given situation through strategic participation in negotiation, mediation, arbitration, and/or litigation. In all of these settings, I leverage my skills to ensure that I am always persuasive on behalf of my clients. There is no one size fits all solution to any dispute, and situations are constantly evolving, so I am continuously evaluating options and right-sizing the approach for my clients as their disputes mature.As a mediator, I am told that I am thorough, inquisitive, insightful, and in command of the process. I have trained with and shadowed over a dozen top mediators in New York City. I have served as a mediator in dozens of varied cases, including those involving licensing, breach of contract, product liability, construction, real estate, employment, wrongful termination, and sexual harassment. I am a 20••••19 American Arbitration Association Higginbotham Fellow, I am an active member of the New York County Supreme Court Commercial Division Roster of Neutrals. I have coached and/or facilitated the basic and advanced commercial mediation trainings hosted by the New York City Bar Association and the New York State Bar Association, among others.
