WORK HISTORY
Director of Organizational Learning @Girl Scouts–Arizona Cactus-Pine Council
Phoenix, AZ, US
I design and execute the council’s strategic learning agenda with a focus on learning in DEI, risk management, leadership development, and organizational learning. Responsibility for the learning agenda encompasses the process from needs assessment to evaluation, developing and tracking metrics, and ensuring alignment with the council’s strategic priorities. I’ve delivered around 40 different learning solutions over the past three years, with an average annual learning budget of $34k. These learning solutions are either built and facilitated by myself or are co-created with external subject-matter experts. They include virtual and in-person, instructor-led workshops, facilitated discussions, self-guided online courses and practice scenarios, and a digital learning library. Additionally, i co-lead the Council’s DEI leadership team and serve as staff liaison for the board-level advocacy committee. Some initial accomplishments in this role include: partnering with the Advocacy Committee to launch an annual Girl Scout Day at the Capitol, recruiting volunteers to charter a new Volunteer Belonging Committee to remove barriers to belonging for our girls and volunteers, revitalizing New Employee Orientation to increase engagement and retention, and creating a digital learning library via SharePoint which has become a prototype for other organizational sites.
