About Gabriella F.

I\'m a psychology graduate student with a focused path toward becoming a clinical psychologist, specializing in trauma-informed care. My academic and professional interests are rooted in a deep commitment to supporting individuals who have experienced complex trauma and dissociation, particularly those without access to traditional mental health resources. Currently, I volunteer as a peer support listener through 7 Cups, where I provide compassionate one-on-one support to people navigating overwhelming emotions, isolation, and recovery. In this role, I’ve developed a strong understanding of active listening, emotional regulation strategies, and the unique needs of trauma survivors in non-clinical settings. With a background in creative arts and storytelling, I’m also passionate about the ways narrative and identity can be used as tools for healing. I hope to integrate these approaches with evidence-based psychological practices in both research and therapeutic settings. My long-term goal is to bridge the gap between accessibility, innovation, and trauma care, helping individuals feel seen, heard, and empowered in their recovery journey.

This experience strengthens my commitment to accessible mental health care and complements my training in clinical psychology.
