ABOUT GABRIELE GIUNTA

I hold a degree in Computer Science, at the Engineering Department of the University of Palermo (Italy). I have been working in the Engineering Ingegneria Informatica S.p.A. R&D Lab since in multi-sector Italian and European research projects, playing several roles, such as solution designer, system architect, technical coordinator, and project manager. Now, I\'m the research manager and head of the “Decision Support Systems” R&I Unit within Digital Technologies at ENGINEERING Group dealing with Critical Infrastructure Protection mostly focused on the systemic view. In the last 20 years, I’ve been working in several Italian Ministry (MAIS, DISCoRSO, SECURE, MAIA) and EC (H2020 STORM, H2020 DEFENDER, H2020 InfraStress, H2020 ENSURESEC, H2020 7SHIELD, H2020 PRECINCT, H2020 FASTER) co-funded research projects, mostly as Project Coordinator, Technical Manager and Workpackage Leader. I\'m currently involved in HE-CL3-2021-INFRA-01-ATLANTIS as Project Coordinator and in HORIZON-CL3-2023-INFRA-01-01-ENDURANCE (https://endurance-horizon.eu/) as Technoical Manager, while devoting proper attention to the other projects fall within the scope of my reseach area, such as HE-CL3-2022-INFRA-01-TESTUDO, HE-CL5-2021-D6-01-HAIKU, HE-CL3-2021-SSRI-01-EU-CIP, H2020-SU-SEC-2020-RESCUER, RETURN SPOKE2, RAISE SPOKE4, ASTRAL HPC SPOKE6, Weather4Energy HPC SPOKE0, Bando Aggregazione VdA SecurALL. My main areas of interest and relevant expertise include Software Engineering, Software Architecture Design, System Integration, Complex Event Processing, Data Mining, Information Fusion, Human Computer Interaction, Knowledge Modeling and Representation, Business Process Modeling and Management, Service Oriented Computing. I have been involved as co-author of scientific papers in International Conferences, Journals and Books
