ABOUT GABRIEL DEHAN

I have been passionate about software engineering for the past two decades, with a focus on designing and building applications that deliver the best possible user experiences.With a self-taught foundation and a nontraditional path (including an art school!), I graduated from Cifacom in 2013 with a Project Manager diploma. Since then, I’ve worked as a Lead Teacher at Le Wagon, teaching hundreds of students across the globe, and as a freelance fullstack developer, specializing in Ruby on Rails, Node on the back-end, and React on the front-end. I’ve also co-founded a couple of startups, gaining invaluable managerial and product design experience.Empathy is one of my greatest strength which drives the care I have for both my team and our users, always putting the user experience first with a focus on respecting both their time and values.I find a lot of satisfaction in writing clean, maintainable code as well as clear documentation, and always strive to craft the best developer experience I can.In my free time, I enjoy exploring side projects, a lot of them open source and discoverable on my github (https://github.com/gabriel-dehan). One of them, which I take great pride in, Dyson Sphere Blueprints (https://github.com/gabriel-dehan/dyson-sphere-blueprints), serves ~10k users daily and has had many open source contributors over the years.
