Reporting to the CFO and to the Global Controller & Chief Accounting Officer, I am responsible for Finance Operations of the company’s USD 3BN-Revenue business unit covering 33 countries, which currently has more than 500 operating hotels and 31 brands.In my role I provide financial and operational leadership in achieving profit, cash flow, and key performance goals for our managed hotels while further enhancing owner and franchise relationships, and grant regulatory compliance across the region. I also ensure operational efficiencies, drive Marriott’s financial systems strategy, and ultimately lead the development of a large team of senior finance executives across the company’s different countries and brands.Success includes leading my organization through COVID‐19 industry crisis and hotel closures, dispositions, and financial distress, designing and executing the Finance Business Plan to launch the company’s All‐Inclusive new Business Unit, directing the M&A operational integration of acquired Elegant Hotels Group, developing the first cross‐discipline Fraud Committee to prevent fraud and ensure local compliance and business ethics across the region, and launching Finance Operations’ 3-year Digital Initiative with a strong focus on automation and end-to-end processes tracking.
