ABOUT GABRIEL L. F. BARALDI
Growing up in the luscious green landscape of Brazil with my pets (rabbits, chickens, and a parrot, to name a few), I was shaped into the nature lover I am today. At the age of eight, when I moved to the UK, I took on leadership roles at school, despite the fact that I had only recently begun learning English. After witnessing catastrophic damage to nature as a teen, I hoped that I could truly make an impact in my local community by becoming President at my college. Through my ambitious green initiatives, I was labelled \"the most productive President\" in the college’s history, and discovered that my purpose lies in sustainability. So, I went on to pursue a degree in Environmental Management with Business, alongside a placement at Mott MacDonald to holistically develop my knowledge, particularly around ESG and sustainability reporting. This put me on a career path where I can genuinely make a difference.As a decisive dreamer, I’ve always aimed for the sky, but have been grounded by consistency and pragmatism. This analytically ambitious approach has led to significant milestones; from getting 4.5 million views on YouTube to embedding sustainability into my college’s strategy when I was just 17.Today, I am a goal-oriented, ISEP-certified environmental practitioner, having led sustainability initiatives in organisations ranging from 5 to employees. Some of the successful initiatives I\'ve executed include spearheading ESG disclosures aligned with frameworks such as TCFD, GRI, and CSRD, creatively crafting ESG reports, and leading on calculations and reporting of carbon emissions.
