ABOUT GABRIELA ZARAMA
I am a Caseworker at the John Howard Society of Ottawa an organization that provides community justice services and programs to people in conflict with the law and other vulnerabilities such as homelessness, drug addiction. I have a Diploma in Community and Justice Services from Algonquin College International Education Centre and a Specialist Degree in International Cooperation and Project Management for Development from Universidad Externado de Colombia and a bachellor degree in Government and International Relations at the same university. I have more than a year of work experience in the field of social justice and human rights, both in Canada and Colombia. My skills include the use of Motivational Interviewing, training development, detail oriented and working with databases. My mission is to contribute to the well-being and inclusion of vulnerable populations by accompanying, guiding and defending their interests. My field of expertise is international cooperation and development projects, especially in harm reduction, gender and homelessness. My values and objectives are respect, solidarity, diversity and intercultural learning.
