About Gabriel Walder
As the CEO of Alliance for Children Everywhere (ACE), I lead the day to day operations and strategic planning of a nonprofit organization that provides family-based care solutions for vulnerable children in Zambia, Malawi and around the world. I am passionate about empowering families and communities to protect and nurture children, and I have extensive global experience in programming and operations with an emphasis on child welfare and development.I hold a BA in Global Studies from the University of Illinois, a MS in Global Politics and Culture from Illinois State University, and I am currently pursuing a PhD in Public Policy with an international focus at Portland State University. I also serve as a visiting scholar at the University of Zambia, where I conduct research on the impact of family-based care on child outcomes. I have developed and implemented projects in Zambia, Malawi, Senegal, Ethiopia, Colombia, and Haiti, and I have acquired skills in nonprofit management, entrepreneurship, international relations, and political science.
