We seek to understand the molecular dynamics of carbonic anhydrases that are responsible for the calcification and growth of corals. To do this, we use molecular dynamics simulations to model how changing conditions will affect the reaction that this protein catalyzes. This project involves extensive programming in order to analyze large data sets, and requires knowledge from physics, biology, and computer science.
