ABOUT GABRIEL PANGAN
I\'m an Honours Chemistry student at McMaster interested in Physical Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, and Chemical Engineering. I\'m working towards a double minor in Math and Physics. I am looking to enter the wastewater industry, as I am interested in Indigenous wastewater management.I\'m an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Peter Kruse\'s group. I have fabricated sensors to detect a surfactant response in water. I conducted data analysis through Microsoft to determine the sensor response. I\'m currently a photographer at G.PShots (a business I founded), where I demonstrate my artistic vision in my photos. I worked with clients, took candid pictures and took event photography. I enjoy landscape and nature photography. I’m currently working as an Event Support Assistant at the McMaster Student Success Center, where I demonstrate skills in customer service, organization, and communication. I have been working as part of a team, communicating with the student population, and overseeing the events offered by the Student Success Center. I have been passionate about learning about mental health, disability justice, and accessibility. Recently, I have been volunteering at Maccess, part of the McMaster Student Union, focusing on peer support, mental health, and accessibility. I am currently working on a project on accessibility at our school gym, where I communicate with staff and colleagues. I communicated with colleagues about ideas to make the gym more accessible and to promote lesser-known programs. Outside of academics and research, I have hobbies such as exercising, cooking, and creative writing.I\'m interested in connecting with people in research in engineering and industry.
