About Gabriel Maldonado
I am the Founder & CEO of TruEvolution, where I’ve led the growth of a grassroots effort into a leading organization in housing development and public health. Our flagship Project Legacy integrates affordable housing, healthcare, and workforce development into one model of community resilience. My experience spans board governance, nonprofit management, philanthropy, public health, and housing development, with a focus on advancing social impact through ethical leadership. I served on President Obama’s Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS and was appointed by Governor Newsom to California’s Racial Equity Commission. I also serve on the boards of Planned Parenthood of the Pacific Southwest, the California State LGBTQ+ Caucus Foundation, and UC Riverside’s Chancellor’s Advisory Committee, where I was named 2025 Outstanding Young Alumni of the Year. I hold a B.A. in Political Science & International Affairs, an MBA in Global Finance, and I am pursuing a PhD in Executive Management at Claremont Graduate University, focusing on leadership and philanthropy.
