I am Co-Founder of Empiric Institutional, LLC, an investment management firm specializing in quantitative factor research and in the portfolio management of systematically driven global equity portfolios. Over a 15-year career working within a boutique asset management firm, I have a multifaceted experience across portfolio management, factor research, operations, compliance, and business development. I’m involved in philanthropic endeavors, mostly focused around creating human an economic capital within the American Latino Community; my passion lies in the empowerment of the next generation.Gabe is the Chief Executive Officer and a Portfolio Manager at Empiric Institutional. He and his partners founded the firm in 2012. He is responsible for the overall leadership and strategic direction of Empiric as well as overseeing the portfolio management and execution of the firm’s international strategy. Mr. Rodriguez also serves as a voting member of the research and investment committee.Gabe’s investment career began in 2007 at the firm’s retail focused and affiliated RIA, Empiric Advisors. He was part of the firm’s quantitative investment team and helped implement the ever-evolving systematic process used at Empiric today. Gabriel received his B.B.A. in Finance & Accounting from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas. He serves as a board member of the New America Alliance and is Chairman of the New America Alliance Institute where he is very involved in the NAA Pathway Fellowship Program. The program’s mission is to mentor and provide fellowship opportunities, at a young age, to the next generation of diverse and women investment professionals. In his free time, you may find him running around Lady Bird Lake, or doing some yoga in Austin.
