About Gabriel Heredia
I am an Honors Political Science and Legal Studies student who is striving to engage in research and internships while pursuing my undergraduate journey at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. My fields of study include legislation, data analysis, immigration law, political parties and elections, political theory, and history. Growing up in California as a second-generation immigrant, I am a strong advocate for the power of civic participation and local government\'s role in improving its citizens\' lives. I am also a firm believer in the government\'s role in protecting its citizens\' rights and freedoms, while providing aid through social programs to improve their lives. I aim to enter a career in immigration law after I complete my undergraduate journey and defend immigrant rights, as well as pursue a lifelong ambition to be a civil servant and politician.
