ABOUT GABRIEL GAYSINSKY

As a 1st generation immigrant and the son of ex-Soviet parents, I understand the importance of cultural competency, effective communication, and a diversity of thought and experiences. I have recently completed my degree in International Relations and Middle East/South Asian Studies from the University of California, Davis. During my time as a student I was heavily involved in Jewish and Israeli activism by serving in student government and participating in several fellowships with prominent Jewish non-profit organizations. I have also spent over eight years participating in Model United Nations, first as a competitor and now as an educator with the company BestDelegate. This time has taught me both the importance of international diplomacy and the ineffectiveness of many intergovernmental organizations, particularly the UN itself. In all facets of my life, I prioritize human interaction above all else. Individual human beings, not governments or international organizations, are where real change occurs. I aspire to work in the non-profit sector or within relevant government agencies that promote individual-centered diplomacy and peace-building, particularly within Israel and Palestine.
