About Gabriel Aghayere

Hello, I\'m Gabriel but most people call me Gabe. I am a storyboard artist with production management experience looking for fulltime and freelance opportunities. I was born in Chicago, IL but grew up all over. My family never stayed in one place for very long, but our travels allowed me to develop a deep love for the many diverse cultures I was fortunate enough to meet along the way. Every couple of years, I would be exposed to a new way of life and a new voice. Throughout my journey, I have been lucky to find myself surrounded by kind people willing to help and reach out in whatever way possible. The phrase \"it takes a village to raise a child\" resonates with me because that was how I was raised. Friends of the family, uncles, aunts, cousins, and neighbors gave me a lifetime of lessons I can never replace, and I want to echo those experiences and wisdom passed on to me in my art and in how I approach problem solving. I want to create stories and art that follow themes of accepting change, living with empathy, and the value of compassion. My goal is to wrap these ideas into interesting stories based on my personal life story, as well as my Nigerian-American experience. These ideals are what I want to portray to the world, so we can all live in a more united future. In my free time, you can find me watching new cartoons, making comics for fun, playing Gundam games, or exploring my area looking for new restaurants. I love learning about new ideas and cultures around the dinner table, especially if there is cheese.
