ABOUT GABI DOBRITESCU

A versatile, seasoned quality engineer, with over 15 years of experience, I’m able to successfully handle a variety of roles within a project team. I have excellent test automation experience, having built from test frameworks that run large test suites and integrated with CI/CD pipelines to little tools that made some aspect of my testing easier to do (eg. tools to manipulate test data, tools to parse logs and pull out some specific data, etc). I’m comfortable reading and writing code in a number of different languages and I often include doing code reviews of the application code and developer written automated tests as a means to optimise my testing approach. When it comes to test automation I advocate for following the principles of the testing pyramid. I like working in Agile environments and I help teams to effectively include testing in their CI/CD workflows. I like pairing with developers and working collaboratively to define the best test approach. I have deep, broad understanding of quality assurance practices, able to choose the most appropriate approach to ensure project success. I’m experienced in defining and improving quality assurance processes to ensure improved product quality and increased project delivery predictability.
