In The Pocket Artists (ITPA) is a full-service national booking agency that was launched in March 2006. ITPA\'s focus as an agency is predominantly on youth-driven original music that\'s both \"got pocket\" and displays skillful songwriting and musicianship. Genres of focus include Funk, Soul, Rock, Reggae, Afrobeat, Rock and Bluegrass. ITPA\'s artist roster has consistently been hand-picked to represent a diverse array of talent that is easily marketed to young audiences and is being designed to be used as a valuable resource for not just clubs, art centers and theatres across the US that seek the finest in musical talent but also with a strong focus on festivals, colleges, private high schools and special events. There are currently 16 artists on ITPA\'s exclusive roster and many more that work with the agency on a freelance basis.The company\'s founder and president, Gabe Johnson, worked full time as a national booking agent at Simon Says Booking for nearly 5 years prior to launching his own company and boasts over 15 years experience in the music business. Johnson\'s passionate and knowledgeable yet down-to-earth business style is rooted in almost ten years on the road as a touring musician himself with Jive Talkin\' Robots, Soulwork and others) and the first-hand knowledge that his experience brought him about the ins and outs of what it takes to make a touring act successful. ITPA was launched in Massachusetts and a year later, in January 2007, Johnson relocated the already-thriving agency across the country to the friendly confines of Bend, Oregon, a gem of a global village nestled in the Cascades, where the agency has continued to thrive and grown significantly, both in staff and scope, since the move.The company\'s vice president, Hunt Frye, worked full time as a national booking agent at Crescendo Artists for nearly 4 years before accepting a job offer from ITPA in 2008.
