With over 23 years of experience as a data scientist at Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL), I have led and delivered advanced data science projects that address real-world scientific challenges. My core competencies include algorithm design, machine learning, data management, and information architecture, which I apply to diverse domains such as astronomy, physics, biology, and health.My mission is to use data science to advance scientific discovery and innovation, and to mentor and train the next generation of data scientists. I have contributed to international and national projects such as the Large Synaptic Survey Telescope (LSST) and the National Ignition Facility (NIF), and established strategic partnerships with universities and research institutions. I have also launched a data science internship program at LLNL, and received the outstanding mentor award for my guidance and support to graduate and undergraduate students. In recognition of my achievements, I have received the DOE Secretary’s Appreciation Award and the Emerging Leaders Award.
